General informations The State School of Higher Vocational Education in Ciechanów was established by government order on 24th July 2001. The mission of our School is training students to become professionals in the fields of study which are offered in response to the needs of the local market and the general tendencies in Polish, European and world economy. The graduate of the State School of Higher Vocational Education in Ciechanów will not only be equipped with the factual knowledge, skills and qualifications indispensable for functioning in the job market effectively and consciously, but he will also be prepared to continue his education at a higher level. At present, about 1700 people are studying at our School, attending full-time, extramural and postgraduate courses. So far, we have had 1400 graduates.The main objectives of the State School of Higher Vocational Education in Ciechanów are:1.Enabling students to acquire great competence in their field of study as well as preparing them to enter their profession, special in new UE work-markt;2.Developing the students? abilities to communicate, gain and use information in accordance with the needs arising from the social and economic development of the modern world;3.Creating high professional and organizational culture in response to contemporary trends in economy, education and culture;4.Providing students with solid education at the bachelor?s or engineer?s level, enabling them to continue their studies at the master?s level at different universities or colleges in the country (either in the same or other fields of study), especially those our School has signed agreements with. Following Poland?s accession to the European Union as well as modern Polish and worldwide trends, our School has introduced obligatory English courses for all students and optional courses of another foreign language.
